ESEF Funding Application

In preparing your application, thoroughly plan your event and contact all vendors to be certain your plans are acceptable to them. Our office can advise you of steps to take and work with you, but will not make any arrangements for your event.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis for the 2016 Fall Semester and applicants will be notified within a week after review on the status for funds. Please submit your application for ESEF two weeks in advance to guarantee enough time for review. Applicants will be considered until funds have been allocated in their entirety. In order to keep costs at a minimum, we ask that applications requesting funds for airfare be submitted two months prior to the event date. 

ESEF can fund:
  • Registration fees
  • Hotels
  • Case competitions 
  • UA Motorpool vehicle  
  • Airfare
  • Ground Transportation (taxi/shuttles/buses)
  • Networking/building connections
  • Events benefiting the Eller College 
  • Diversity initiatives 
ESEF cannot fund:
  • Fundraisers
  • Scholarships
  • Personal meals
  • Gas for person vehicle use 
  • Personal use items 
  • Prizes, awards, gifts, or gift cards

*These items should still be included in the budget to better understand the total costs for the request

Funding Details

Please specify all of the articles for which you are requesting funding. Be as detailed as possible in giving this information. (Our funding is usually allocated to registration fees and transportation costs, but we are willing to consider other costs as well.) A detailed spreadsheet of your budget for requested funds is required. 

Any unprofessional / incomplete budgets will not be considered for funding and a re-submission is required to be considered to receive aide from the Excellence Fund.
