The Barcelona Internship Program is an eight-week summer program that provides students with the opportunity to work in one of the major cultural and economic centers in southwestern Europe.
By participating, students will have the opportunity to gain international internship experience in their field of choice. Students will also gain an appreciation for Spanish culture and have the opportunity to vastly improve their Spanish and Catalan language skills.
Students will work with the program provider to professionally revise their resume, prepare for interviews, and ultimately obtain an internship in the industry of their choice.
Barcelona summer internships are unpaid and placements are made with an emphasis on balancing the needs of the student with those of the organization.
Summer Internship Housing and Transportation
The Barcelona Internship Program housing is located in and around the city center of Barcelona.
Travel between student's housing and the academic center is fast and fluid, thanks to the public transport and motorways network.
Students are automatically enrolled in a 3-unit Internship Seminar course. Students also have the opportunity to complete an additional 3-unit course to satisfy a General Education requirement or Global Business Program elective.
Upon completion of the program, students will have earned between 3-6 units of academic credit. These units can be applied directly towards the Global Business Program, general elective credit, or may fulfill a General Education course requirement.
