Pre-Professional Program Course Registration

Pre-Business Foundation Courses

ACCT 200 – This class will be open in UAccess to all students until it is filled.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.   

Please note:  Minor students should consider taking ACCT 250 rather than ACCT 200.

ACCT 210 – This class will only be open to Pre-Business students during Priority Registration.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.  Non-Eller students are encouraged to take ACCT 210 over Summer or in a future Fall semester.  

Please note: The prerequisite for ACCT 210 is ACCT 200 (Financial Accounting). Students not meeting the pre-requisites will be dropped from ACCT 210 prior to the start of the Fall semester.

BCOM 214 Select sections are open in UAccess to qualified students. BCOM 214 is designed to be taken the semester in which a student is applying for Professional Admission, so the course is open to Pre-Business students who are currently taking or have taken ACCT 200 and BNAD 276.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.

Please note:  BCOM 214 is a required Pre-Business Foundation Course for students who started at the University of Arizona in Fall 2015 or later.

BNAD 276 – This class will be open in UAccess to all students until it is filled.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.      

Please note: Completion of MATH 116 or Calc I (MATH 122B or 125) is required prior to enrolling in BNAD 276. Students who do not have the pre-requisite course will be dropped from BNAD 276 prior to the start of the Spring semester.

BNAD 277 - This class will only be open to Pre-Business students during Priority Registration.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.  Non-Eller students are encouraged to take ACCT 210 over Summer or in a future Fall semester. 

Please note: The prerequisite for BNAD 277 is Math 116 (Business Calculus) and BNAD 276 (Business Statistics). This prerequisite is being enforced in UAccess. Students who are not currently enrolled or have have not already completed BNAD 276 at the UA will not be eligible to register for BNAD 277 through UAccess. If you have transfer credit or are planning on taking BNAD 276 over Winter, please email your advisor with proof of your enrollment at least one week prior to your Priority Registration Enrollment time. The advisors will then approve your eligibility in UAccess so you will have access to the available seats in BNAD 277 during your Priority Registration time.

ECON 200 – Open for registration to all majors until the sections are full. If the course reaches maximum enrollment, students should attend the first day of class and continue to check UAccess in case enrolled students drop prior to the start of the semester. No wait list will be held.
MATH 116 – Open for registration until the classes are full. Students should contact the Math Department for information about registration if it is not available via UAccess. The Math Department number is 621-6892. Please note that the Math Department will audit the enrollment for MATH 116 prior to the start of the semester and drop any students who do not meet the prerequisite.

MIS 111 – This class will be open in UAccess to all students until it is filled.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.   

Please note: Each Fall semester, MIS 111 is reserved for incoming Pre-Business Freshmen and incoming Transfers.  Non-Eller majors and students changing their major to Pre-Business are encouraged to take MIS 111 in Spring or Summer.  

MIS 111L – This class will be open in UAccess to all students until it is filled.  In the event that the course reaches capacity, a waitlist will be opened through eSMS.   

Please note: MIS 111L is a Pre-Business Foundation requirement, but it is not required for the Business Administration Minor.  Each Fall semester, MIS 111L is reserved for incoming Pre-Business Freshmen and incoming Transfers.    

 


 

Business Emphasis and Professional Development Courses

BNAD 100 - All Pre-Business Freshmen will be added to one of the four sections of BNAD 100.
BNAD 200 - This course is only offered in the Fall semesters. 
MGMT 202 – Open for registration to only Eller students until filled. If the course reaches maximum enrollment, please attend the first day of class and continue to check UAccess in case seats become available prior to the start of the semester. Please note that there are other course options to fulfill the Ethics requirement. These options can be viewed in your Advisement Report on UAccess.
