Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to Eller students based on a number of factors, including financial need, academic merit, leadership and involvement. When a donor gives a scholarship to the college they set the criteria for awarding it. The more we know about you, the better we can match your needs with the donor's wishes.
Keep in mind the following:
- Most Eller scholarships are for students admitted to the program.
- Many scholarships require you be a resident of Arizona.
- Many are only for US citizens.
- Many are based on Federally defined need (FAFSA)
If you are interested in Eller College scholarships your first step is to go to the UA Office of Student Financial Aid. Their link is at the bottom of this page. We use their data as part of our selection process.
In many cases you will be asked to apply, usually via email, for a particular scholarship by your major advisor or a member of the Undergraduate Programs team.
Academic departments and College administrators award scholarships. Not all departments have an equal number of scholarships, so don't be disappointed.
Finally, while there are many scholarships available in the US, there is a lot of competition for scholarships. A quick survey of scholarships shows that they are generally for amounts between $1000 & $5000. Given the cost of education, one scholarship is not enough. There are guides to scholarships available in the Bookstore or Library. It will take a lot of work on your part.
