Saturday, December 1, 2007For the past six years the Undergraduate Programs office has organized a college-wide day of giving. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends sign up to give 4 to 5 hours of service one Saturday in December. The event will run from 7:30 am until 12:00 pm but times will vary depending on location and project.
Deadline to RSVP is Thursday, November 15th. Tucson non-profits are contacted and encouraged to use our volunteers for this Saturday of giving. Eller College Philanthropy volunteers could hang lights for the elderly in Winterhaven, paint a house at the Tucson Center for Women and Children, help prepare the Tucson Botantical Gardens for their luminary exhibit, box food for the Community Food Bank, sort clothing and appliances at Goodwill, prepare meals for the homeless at Casa Maria Soup Kitchen...
