WHAT IS WLC 2009?

In its sixth year, the Women's Leadership Conference (WLC) brings together outstanding women from the Eller College of Management, the College of Engineering and Science and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The event is especially designed to offer female students a unique interdisciplinary opportunity to develop leadership skills through exposure to industry leaders and "real world" team experience.

CONFERENCE GOALS

Below are the goals that WLC 2009 wishes to provide for the attendees:

• Create Vision: To expose students to women leaders so that students can visualize themselves in these roles and expand their horizons
• Offer Insight: To provide a discussion forum that provides insight on career and leadership questions that students are facing
• Gain Experience: To involve students in team-building and networking experiences that explore the importance of working in and building diverse groups
• Implement Plan: To have students create a vision, a team, and a plan for the coming year that will enable them to improve their leadership skills and themselves.
