Direct Admission

Direct Admission is a program designed to encourage honors students to take foundation courses at the University of Arizona.
Students qualify for Direct Admission if they:
- Maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application
- Take all of the foundation courses at the UA
- Are on track for first level honors
Students will still be eligible if they have credit for foundation courses through AP/IB/CLEP as well as any dual enrollment taken through a college or university while still in high school. Students who meet the above criteria will be guaranteed:
- Professional admission
- First choice of major
- Professional Admission interview by someone in their field of interest
This program begins with students admitted as Non-Transfer Freshman for the Fall of 2007. Click here to learn about the first student to be part of the Direct Admission program.
