Professional program model
We are committed to making a good program, even better! To build a greater sense of community and camaraderie among students admitted into Professional Admission, we have an integrated cohort approach to the final two years of the curriculum. Students have an integrated and coordinated professional core including more interactions with faculty, networking with alumni and recruiters, and comprehensive career preparation. Students move through their junior year in two groups, taking a common series of courses. A greater emphasis is being placed on building the business communication skills crucial to success in the actual business environment. A course in information technology ensures that all of our graduates have a comprehensive understanding of technology in the new economy. The combined strong foundation in the principles of business and our excellence within the major departments ensure that all of our graduates are effective business professionals.
Professional Admissions
The Eller College's unique upper-division admissions process
In keeping with our desire to distinguish ourselves, our Professional Admissions process is competitive and selective as we seek to admit the most fully qualified applicants each semester.
Students are selected based on their academic profile (cumulative GPA and performance in foundation courses), extracurricular involvement, and contribution to the overall diversity of the student body. Students are required to submit a resume, cover letter, and participate in an interview with an Eller College Associate as part of the professional admissions process. We are the first undergraduate business program in the country to implement an interview component designed to gauge a person's interpersonal skills and motivation.
