Promotion Strategies

Eller College Associates are a group of dynamic volunteers from around the country– alumni and friends–who are supporters of the College. Associates help undergraduate students by enhancing the academic program through participation in activities including: assisting in interviewing all prospective Eller applicants to our Undergraduate program and mentoring Eller College undergraduate students in various events including networking events, career panels, class presentations, and case competitions. Recruiting organizations are encouraged to participate. Being a part of the Eller College Associates program provides your company with exposure to our students and forums to showcase your profession.

Job Shadow Experience Program brings students into a professional business environment for a day-in-the-life experience. We hope that by becoming part of this type of program you can provide direct exposure to your business that will generate student interest. In turn, you can begin to assess the quality of our students. This program can lead to a more in depth personal mentoring relationship as well.

Career Related Experiential Learning Programs

Eller Internship Programs allow students to expand their internship experience by earning academic credit or other compensation. If your organization would like an intern to pair their internship involvement with structured career development activities (including an online discussion thread), you can encourage your interns to join the Structured Internship Program (SIP). This program is highlighted for students to apply on this website: http://ugrad.eller.arizona.edu/career/students/experiential/internships.aspx

In addition, employers can learn more about what is expected in an effective internship program on this site: http://ugrad.eller.arizona.edu/career/employers/experiential.aspx

Career Opportunity Posting

The Office of Undergraduate Programs manages several technology resources including an email listserv, which provides us various ways to target information to specific audiences within the college. Weekly career listservs to our business majors promote internship, full-time and experiential learning opportunities to our students.

To list an existing job or experiential learning opportunity to undergraduates, please fill out the Employer Input Form. If you have further questions, please email career@eller.arizona.edu.

Student Organization Presentations

There are numerous opportunities to speak at one of our Federation of Eller Student Organizations (FESO) member organizations. We have over 20 active organizations with a wide range of focuses. Company representatives speak to the organizations about a variety of topics (corporate topics, employment preparation, or company overview).

For more information about the student organizations, please view their contact information and web sites.

Publication/Event Sponsorship

Our Undergraduate Programs Office has a variety of publications and is responsible for the majority of the co-curricular programming that is directed at undergraduates. Opportunities exist to sponsor a variety of these events or the publications associated with these events.

Examples of Special events: Various Case Competitions, Honors Convocation (200 undergraduates), Homecoming Networking lunch (110 undergraduates), Professional Admissions/Interview Day (500 sophomores), Multicultural Night of Excellence (100 ethnic minority students), Professional Admissions Orientation (500 sophomores), Cohort Welcome Program (400 Juniors).

Contact career@eller.arizona.edu for more information about sponsorship involvement.

Class Presentations

Within our curriculum we emphasize business partnerships, real world case studies, alumni interaction and the importance of experiential learning opportunities. We are consistently looking for classroom speakers, opportunities for real world student projects, judges for case competitions and student mentors. For more information on getting involved, contact career@eller.arizona.edu.

Career Showcase

For over ten years, the Eller College has held a student-run career fair in the spring semester. This career fair, Career Showcase, coordinated by Delta Sigma Pi and the Eller BPA Student Council, is focused on business students although it is open to all students. We hope you will consider coming out to McClelland Hall to meet students and introduce them to internship and full-time career opportunities.
