Summer Camps Program Information
DigiDudes and TechDivas Technology Programs
The Eller College of Management is home to the top-ranked Management Information Systems Department. Capitalizing on this success, we have developed a fun way for students entering grades 3-5 and grades 6-8 to explore technology through exercises that appeal to students of all ages. During our camps, students are given the opportunity to work with these powerful programs and concepts, and are encouraged to use them in a safe and responsible manner. It is our hope that the Technology and Early Outreach Program helps develops each student’s confidence and knowledge with technology, and aids them academically.
Our camps will focus on a common theme that provides a basic framework and structure for the students to follow. This year, the camp’s theme is “My Digital Life” Students will be assigned to look at aspects of life within the digital age by creating a new business from the ground up, planning a virture vacation, or many other fun aspects of life. Some possible projects include: creating PowerPoint presentations, professional posters, commercials, print advertisements, a budget, their own website with its own blog, flash games and mix their own music.
Some of the programs that campers will be using this summer are listed below:
Windows/Mac OS
Media: Audacity, iMovie, iTunes, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects
Productivity: Microsoft Office 2007/Live, Google Office Suite
Creation: Scatch-IT, Avatar Creator, Weebly
