The Eller College of Management International Business Ethics Study Tour to Buenos Aires, Argentina offers students enrolled in PA 202, Ethical Issues in Business, the chance to apply practical classroom knowledge to real world international applications. This study tour will incorporate site visits, excursions, and guest lecturer presentations in order to present several case studies of International Business and Business Ethics in Argentina. Students will have the opportunity hear from the U.S. Ambassador to Argentina, Argentine Government Officials, and listen to a lecture from Dr. Carlos Steiger of the University of Belgrano. This program also includes excursions to Iguazu Falls National Park, a tour of an Aboriginal community, a walking tour of Buenos Aires, and a day trip to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. These excursions, among others, will allow students to gain further knowledge and understanding of the unique Argentina culture, history, and current economic stability. Students will live in an off-campus residencia with other US, Argentine, and international students in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires. At the residencia, breakfast and dinner will be provided Monday through Friday. Public transportation to the University of Belgrano, as well as around the rest of the city, is easily accessible from the Palermo district. Administration: The Eller Study Tour to Buenos Aires, Argentina is affiliated with Cultural Experiences Abroad (CEA). The mission of CEA is to create and facilitate opportunities for personal growth and global understanding through quality international education and cultural experiences. To do this, CEA focuses on the 'service first' experience, which includes providing personal attention to students before, during and after their experience abroad. For Eller students, these credits will be applied towards the Ethics requirement that students have to complete prior to graduating. Students must be enrolled in PA 202 to participate. Students working on completing the Global Business Program (GBP) can apply these three credits earned towards the GBP. Honors students may also use these three credits towards their required units for graduating with honors. For both Eller and non-Eller students please contact one of the Eller representative listed above if you have any questions. Site Visits: These will include a presentation by the speakers and then a question and answer period. For the tour in 2008, the site visits included: Posadas City, Punto Tripartito, Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay, as well as other visits and speakers as they are arranged.
